Tuesday Morning Music Mix

It has been over two years since I posted to this Blog and the only thing that brings me back is the Tuesday Morning Music Mix. I used to get Tuesdays off of work and would spend the morning of my first day off smoking powerful Marijuana and surfing the net looking for new music to post. It was the only thing I ever really enjoyed doing on Blogger. I'm not sure how many people follow anyone, let alone me, on blogger so if you came over here from my Facebook or twitter, thanks. I hope you found something new and exciting to fill your earholes.

Action Bronson ft. Chance the Rapper - Baby Blue

Action Bronson is the BAM BAM Bigalow of Rap. All attitude and bravado and the boy can rap.

Earl Sweatshirt - Chum

I'm late to the game when it comes to Earl Sweatshirt. I first found him about three weeks ago but he has quickly become my favorite member or Odd Future. All of his lyrics come from an experience that is not being addressed in the mainstream rap industry. He, and most of Odd Future, feel more like punk than Rap. In spirit at least.

Childish Gambino - Sober

I missed his horror movie outing, The Lazarus Effect, when it was in theatres but I'm sure it can't be better than his performance in Sober. This video has nothing on paper but everything in execution. #donaldforspiderman

MIA - Bad Girls

Roman Gavras is one of the greatest music video directors to come out of the medium and this, in my opinion, is his greatest work to date. I love the song by MIA but I don't think I would have taken notice had it not been for the breathtaking visuals by Mr Gavras. Extra point for the slow-mo horse shots. A nice nod to the origins of motion pictures.

Die Antwoord - Ugly Boy

Whenever I see Die Antwoord I imagine I'm looking into the future. These are the children of the internet and these are their songs. Their world feels like it was born in the smouldering ash of ours and we are ill equipped to judge it.

The Meters - Cissy Strut

No video for this one. The Meters don't need one. Just pure funk with your orange juice in the morning. Ain't nothing wrong with that.

This has been fun. I think I will try to keep it up. Thanks for stopping by to take a look and a listen. Please comment either here or on the FB post to let me know if you were here. As much as I like to think that I do this for myself a little encouragement is nice time to time.

Nice musics. I really dig that video/song of Childish Gambino. Had not heard of him before.

(P.S, I miss Blogger!)
